The Shoulder Mount Inversion is an advanced pole dance trick that requires a great amount of arm and core strength. Before attempting this trick, try this preparatory trick exercise and these core building exercises.

You should also have a strong basic invert as well. This video demonstrates hand placement, pole placement on the shoulder as well as what the move looks like:
You can start to learn this trick form the floor first. Sit with the pole to your back and use the same hand placement. You will be using your core, arms and back muscles to curl your torso up, 'v' your legs out and hook them onto the pole to get into an inverted position. This video gives you an idea of what the move started from the floor looks like:
